Following assessment, the aim is providing a bespoke treatment and intervention plan centred on the clients’ needs. Therapy is usually on a one to one basis. Dependent on the clients’ needs, occasionally a multi professional approach may be more suited. Regular updates are provided to the multi-disciplinary team and family as appropriate.
Treatment is provided in the most suitable setting, this can be anywhere from school, work, home to the local gym or social club. Rehabilitation addresses the client’s physical, psychological, and environmental needs. This is achieved by restoring the patient's physical functions and/or modifying the patient's physical and social environment. Using outcome measures, clients are monitored throughout the rehabilitation process to ensure progression. Feedback is continually given to assist the motivation of the client. Trish has completed a basic counselling course and is able to support clients with stress and anxiety through the process of self-management.
Equipment and adaptations are often required. This is identified at the point of assessment or through the treatment process. Equipment is often required to assist the rehabilitation process. An assessment and recommendation will be provided along with the cost, as soon as a need is identified.
Manual handling- Trish has a train the trainer qualification in manual handling. Assessment, support plans, direct training to carers and health professionals and course facilitation are all offered at a competitive rate.
